Bumbai- Cute toddlers, Arguments, and new life

Gavin is growing and continues to be the cutest little boy around...in the opinion of the Bumbai family anyway. But we can't deny that Gavin is absolutely adorable. Gavin has taken after both his mother and his grandmother, and has a little bit of a mean streak, but like his father, he doesn't voice all of his opinions(which may be because his toddler vocabulary is limited), and he tries to be at least somewhat kind to most people.

Kartek and Ammi have been arguing alot lately. Matthew Appleberry has been "courting" since the Bumbai family moved to Purity Creek, and Ammi has done a great job at leading him on.
" Mother, you are hurting him! He's a good man! He wants to marry you, and why not? You know that neither of you have very much time left. Matt is a year older than Lucy McGraw and she passed away last week! Don't break his heart Mother."
" Matthew and I have an understanding Kartek, and that isn't your business. I love Matthew, but we don't want the same things. Matt is working on accepting this, why can't you?"
" He's hurting mother....I wish you'd stop being so unselfish!"
" You need to respect your mother Kartek!!! I'm not discussing this any further with you!"

Don't start thinking that Ammi and Kartek's argument was the most exciting thing that happened this round with the Bumbais! Ankara went into labor! Sam Willis, the only current doctor in the PC Province( Purity Creek suburb, City of Vanity Ravine, and soon the country town of Bluewater), was making his rounds in Purity Creek and was still at the hospital when Ammi and Kartek can rushing in with Ankara. She delivered a healthy baby girl that the proud parents named Raquel Lynn Bumbai.

While everyone else was obsessing over Raquel and Ankara, Kartek knew he had to get back to work. Ankara took care of the children with Ammi during the day when Kartek went to the bookstore. Obviously, preying unmarried young women would take the opportunity to steal the good-looking KarteK Bumbai away! Kartek had to politely refuse many women, but there was one frequent admirer named Daisy. Kartek worried he might need to get a restraining order, but he most feared that Ankara would find out about this poor girl who didn't know better.

Kartek brings these things on himself though! Lets face it, he's pretty hot. And he break dances. Lots of people are attracted to that kind of thing! Don't worry about Kartek cheating on Ankara though. They are still very much in love, and even though they bicker a lot, they have a lot of fun together

Despite knowing Ammi's ways, Matthew still doesn't give up. He comes around often to play with Gavin and hold Raquel, he plays Don't Wake the Llama with Ammi, Kartek, and Ankara, and he of course has nightly dates with Ammi, just so she knows that he really loves her. He wants her to know he'll wait forever for her to come around.

By the end of the round, Gavin turns 5, so he'll be ready for school next year. As for Raquel, she's getting bigger everyday. She has a thick mass of curly hair that her mother cuts off to manage. Ankara will let her start growing it out in a few more years, when she's Gavin's age. For now though, Rocky is fine with her hair short as long as her Papa plays with her!

Hernandez- Four busy children

The boys grew up quite a bit since the last time we checked in on them, they are happy and healthy 10 year olds. They do almost everything together and are very different. Pablo is the outgoing and playful one, while Francisco likes to be neat and keep to himself. (Pablo is in the black and white shirt and Francisco is in the gray.)

Both Cat and Dani, managed to find a form of teenage love. Cat has found her teenage soul mate in Nate Appleberry. She thinks she could definitely have gone for someone more popular, but Nate will do for now. He's a little too ambitious for Cat to appreciate, so she doesn't really think this relationship will go past the realm of teen. Dani is caught up in some boy that dated a few other girls around town. She knows its just puppy love and that it won't go anywhere, but she did get that first kiss she'd been dreaming of....

Carmen and Juan are VERY opinionated about the education of their children. They encourage all four kids to study in many different areas, broaden their horizons. The kids learn quickly, and even enjoy their studies some.

All in all, we see that this sect of the Hernandez family is happy and complete. The children are satisfied, the parents are hardworking and happy, and all is right in the Hernandez house.

Mcgraw- Circle of life

Austin Ray has become a clever and charming five year old boy. He enjoys following his big brother and sister around and playing basketball with them. Like Aaron, he also likes to play with all the neighborhood girls.

It's unfortunate that Grandma Lucy won't ever really get to know Austin, or the new baby boy thats on his way, Alexander. Rest in Peace Lucy.
Obituary:
Lucy Hilda McGraw, 68 years old leaves behind one son, Marcus Aaron McGraw, four grandchildren Aaron Samuel McGraw, Ariel Lucille McGraw, Austin Ray McGraw, and little Alexander Gregory McGraw. Lucy was loved by her family, and most people around town were very friendly with her. Lucy's knowledge, and never ending farm wisdom will be sorely missed.

Just a few weeks after Lucy's unfortunate passing, Anne went into a very difficult labor. She had the baby at home, on account of the farmhouse being so far out of town, and residents hadn't built their homes out so far yet. Marcus quickly read some things online, and was able to somewhat help Anne. Anne and little Alex made it through, both healthy, and Anne swore that would be her last pregnancy.

Welcome to the world Alexander Gregory McGraw!

Hernandez (2)-Not a fairy tale

"Hola Kenya! I've missed you my love! Let me show you our new home..."
Kenya is excited to see the new home she'll live in with the love of her life, Carlos. She's getting her hopes up and picturing a cute little picket fenced house on the good side of Purity Creek. She obviously is from Vanity Ravine and hasn't realized that Purity Creek is not fully developed yet, all the families haven't moved in yet, all the neighborhoods being built by the government (especially the good hoods) haven't been finished and probably won't be for a few more years. So, she meets up with Carlos at the corner of Main street, because he doesn't have a car and he wanted to be there when she saw the house....

Kenya can't say she's entirely impressed. They live in a tiny trailer with two closets for bedrooms and its a little dirty and very plain. However, Kenya likes to look on the bright side...hopefully she'd find some new friends in Purity Creek and things wouldn't be so bad.

Unfortunately, Kenya has not had any luck finding friends. She just got a promotion in the military job that she HATES but is keeping until she and Carlos have a little more money to their name. Some nights she invites some of her coworkers back home with her, but that doesn't usually turn out well.
"What do you mean you don't like make-up!"
"Why would I like make-up lady! I'm a MAN!"

Some good news is that Carlos and Kenya made things completely official. It was a pretty big ceremony, well pretty big for the growing Purity Creek population..., and had 10 attendants. They had the wedding in the smallish yard of the trailer home, and it was pretty cramped. Kenya begins to realize she doesn't know what she got herself into....

But she knows it could be worse. Carlos treats her so well and she really does love him. This isn't the fairytale life, but its a pretty good one regardless.

And with the coming addition to this small family, life will either get better, or too stressful for Kenya to handle...

Lombardi- The talented, the shy, the mob boss, and the black sheep.

The Lombardi children have been experimenting in music lately, under the influence of their very musical mother. Alexia Jane seems to have a knack for singing, while Connor likes to play the piano. TJ, ever the black sheep, does not participate in music. Instead he focuses on other things...like cheating on his long time girlfriend Melanie.

Mary is visited by members of her mob at all hours of the night. They've been working their hardest on recruiting new members from all walks of life. Mary is an equal opporotunity employer, and is a believer in 2nd chances...as long as you are willing to do whatever it takes to get a second chance.

Connor is a bright and quiet boy. He doesn't have any friends besides his lovely older sister. Wherever she goes, he goes. Unless of course she's going somewhere while he plays his piano.

TJ takes his younger brother and sister to the park one day. Mary of course was suspicious, but Lindi defended her eldest son, saying he loved his siblings and wanted to do something nice for them. While TJ does love his brother and sister, he knew Mary wouldn't let him leave the house to go meet a "friend" of his...Melanie comes from good money, and is an orphan, meaning her whole fortune will belong to the Lombardi's when they marry. Mary is not willing to risk that fortune on her grandson'n escapades.

Lindi should start getting suspicious of her eldest child. He is uncontrollable...you never know what kind of trouble he could get into. Mary is glad he will be leaving for college in just a few short years and she won't have to keep a constant watch on him. In some ways she wishes she could go along, to make sure he stays away from one of his latest "friends", the very young Lauren Appleberry....

Martin- New move, boring lives

Daniel has been helping out at the flower shop lately. He's the only kid to take an interest in it so far so naturally, his grandparents make him help out. He's great at selling things. Sylvie, his grandmother, thinks he has a way with words. Well, whatever it is it doesn't look like Kai Cho is buying it!

The Martins moved to a really nice apartment this past year. Even with new surroundings though, Jade can't seem to get over her mother's death. I was just over a year and a half ago now, today would've been her mother's birthday.

Jade has been making progress, and she even was feeling happy enough to have a birthday party! That's right folks, little Jade has grown up into a lovely young woman! She has dreams of being the best reporter in Purity Creek! Or Vanity Ravine...or Bluewater! She can't make up her mind where she wants to live quite yet, but she knows that wherever she is she wants lots and lots of friends.

Appleberry- Very busy people

A very busy season for the Appleberry family. May was busy setting fires in her brand new kitchen! She loves cooking, but she really shouldn't quit her day job.

Kirsti and Nathan hace been spending time together a lot lately. Lauren is usually off somewhere else, writing in her diary or playing with her mom's dress up clothes and make up. Kirsti and Nathan don't really mind though. They like their sister, but she talks too much on occasion. Nathan and Lauren have a birthday coming up. Nathan is very excited.

Matthew gets a part time job to help pay the house bills. The toy store has been doing okay lately, but with the move the Appleberrys need all the money they can get.

May decides she'd better learn to cook! She can't keep setting the kitchen on fire. Unfortunately all she can think about while trying to study is making out with Ivan. Focus May!

Baby Christian is getting bigger! He's got red hair like his grandfather did and he loves playing with the toys his momma makes for him. Even Mr. Brick.

Nathan and Lauren got bigger too! Turning 13 is a big deal around here. Nathan decides he wants lots and lots of money in his life, and he wants to be a great business man someday. He doesn't know what his business will be, but whatever it is he'll be great at selling it!

Lauren is a very pretty girl. She thinks she looks a little square right now, but as soon as she can she'll be fixing her hair and buying makeup. Lauren decides she's a romance kind of girl. Lauren apparently really liked pretending and dressing up as a little kid because she never wants to stop! Lauren has dreams of being a famous actress one day! Her parents aren't sure why they need to send her to college for that, but oh well. At least its an experience...right?

Sorry about not having any baby pictures for Chris! My bad! Sorry!
