Bumbai- Blissfully blunt

Okay, I'm back! YAY! Sorry it's been awhile, my mom moved away and school started and along with school came cheerleading, so I've been doing a few hours of homework everyday, I've been practicing for cheer, oh and I've been doing stupid teenage girl things too so I've had no time to blog. Lucky for you, I played like 6 houses ahead so all my pics are taken for most of my families! Woo!

Back in Simcity, the Bumbai's had a reputation for being smart...and haughty. The reputation was well deserved with the exception of Kartek, the only child of Ammi, 3rd in command at the PC town coucil. Kartek loves his mother and wife but desperately wants them to sweeten up in their new community.

Ankara Bumbai has a dream. A dream that her new community will prosper and everyone will see each other, rich and poor, as equals...NOT! Ankara wants her family to be seen as practically royal. She wants to be the richest and most powerful of all the women in Purity Creek! Oh and she wants a lovely house and to pop out some kids, and she wants to grow old with Kartek. A rather strange woman she is...

Ankara's husband, Kartek, feels very differently about life. He wishes to learn everything he can in life. He and Ankara do feel the same way about having a family however.

Ammi doesn't want wealth or knowledge, or a big family even. Sure she's fine with having a few grandkids, as long as they don't cramp her style. Ammi wants men. And only a few days in town and she's seducing Matthew Appleberry!

Despite their differences, Ankara and Kartek are very much in love. Ammi often describes it as ying and yang, they are very different but can't live without the other. Ankara is blunt and mean for Kartek, while Kartek is understanding and nice for Ankara. Confusing maybe, but love is love all the same!

Kartek and Ankara open a bookstore/cafe/ hang out very soon after arriving to Purity Creek. Kartek isn't very outgoing, so he would be the cashier. Ankara was filled with character and would be the salesperson! Some people are a little put off by her though, she's a little aggressive at times...

Lets not forget about Ammi though! Kartek assigned her as the barista, a job Ammi thought to be for peasants. Once customers started rolling in though, Ammi discovers this is the perfect way to meet and seduce men. She may be aging, but no man can escape her wrath.

After a while, people warmed up to the Bumbai family. Kartek is happy that his wife and mother were not as rude as they had been in the big city, but little does he know that Ankara has become quite the gossip! She knows everyone in town and if there is a secret, Ankara knows about it! No one is free, not even Kartek.

Well, it wasn't long until Ankara discovers she is expecting. Ammi had said it was only a matter of time, the way those two went at it. She is constantly mentioning her son's sex life to the customers when the visited her little corner. It makes Kartek absolutely mad when he sees women giggling at him and eying him up and down. Ugh, his mother is so frustrating!

With time, Ankara gets bigger, and more loving of the little life inside her. She brags about her baby belly constantly, but she is also getting moodier with every passing day as well.
" And I can just tell that it's going to be a little girl! She's going look just like me and act just like me and she'll be perffect just like me! Don't you just wish you could-"
"Lady, I really don't care..."
"WHAT?!?!?!"
"I'll be going now..."
"Yeah I thought so."

Ammi continues to date Matthew Appleberry...and Abjiheet, and another fellow named Matthew. And the mailman. But she tells Matthew he was the only one for her. Ammi is desperately hoping he won't propose though, because then she'd have to turn him down, and then he'd hate her, which would be a shame because she loves his "company".

Kartek is taking on a new skill every week, and this week he was working on his fitness. He doesn't like working out much, but oh well. (I just HAD to add this pic! It's HILARIOUS!)

The closer Ankara gets to giving birth, the more tired she is. This baby is really wearing her out!

Finally the baby is here! Welcome baby Gavin Kartek Bumbai to the world. Kartek and Ankara are overyjoyed, but back to work the must go, while Ammi stays home and takes care of little Gavin.

Unfortunately, theres very little caring of Gavin while Ammi is home...

This family is fun to play. I love Ankara and Ammi, they are two of my most favorite sims in this town so far. Ammi is never boring to play, she's constantly rolling wants to do innappropriate things with the two Matthews or Abjiheet. Ankara makes attempts at being nice, but her aggressive nature always gets the best of her, its great to play! I have a feeling little Gavin will be gorgeous.

Hernandez- Growing family

I don't know when the next time I'll update is because my mother is moving away to California to go to law school. You might know her, she calls herself Gethane online I think. Well anyway my pics should be getting better soon.

Juan and Carmen Hernandez have always been kind and generous people. They're the kind of people to always help someone in need, and that's probably why Juan and Carmen let Juan's younger brother, Carlos, live with them, since he is pretty much a failure in life. Juan and Carmen decided that Purity Creek would be the perfect place to raise their twin daughters, Catalina and Daniella, and the free deed to a business sounded good too!

"We've only been here a few days, and they already seem to think I'm their maid!" Carlos Hernandez does not like the situation he's in. He does NOT like his brother Juan, he does NOT like living in someone else's home, and he certainly does NOT like cleaning up after his brother and his family. However, Carlos is grateful that his brother has given him a place to sleep, and a job at Juan's new restaurant, La Comida Buena.

Juan Hernandez is pretty happy currently. He's opened a restaurant, which has been pretty successful despite it not being open very long. He has two very beautiful girls, and is thinking of having more children in the near future, and he's married to the most gorgeous woman anyone has ever laid eyes on! Juan doesn't care much for his brother Carlos, but at least he cleans up and helps around the restaurant.

Carmen is a very kind and beautiful woman. She takes great care with everything she does, and cares about people she hardly even knows. It was Carmen who convinced Juan to let Carlos stay with them while he gets his feet on the ground, because she simply can't let someone not go without a good home!

Daniella is the oldest of the twins. She's only somewhat outgoing, and likes the company of boys. Already she's starting to dress to old for her age. Dani seems pretty happy most of the time, but other times its obvious that she feels jealous of her sister.

Catalina is a perfect child. She's incredibly outgoing and adorable. Of course Juan and Carmen adore and spoil both of the girls equally, but other people just seem to gravitate towards Catty. Even Uncle Carlos is enchanted by her charms.

At the restaurant, Carlos has been working very hard. He does everything his brother asks him to and is really polite with the customers. He gets tipped often! But Carlos doesn't want to work for his brother forever. What he really wants is to get married and have a family of his own.

Lately, Carlos has been thinking that the woman he has been dating lately, Kenya, would make a very good wife. He likes he very much, and Carlos thinks that maybe she likes him alot too.

As luck would have it, Kenya does like Carlos as much as he likes her, they just have very different priorities. Carlos isn't sure exactly what Kenya wants in life, but he has plans to find out soon.

Carmen discovers that she and Carlos would soon be parents again! She was so happy, but this baby certainly was making her really sick and extremely hungry.

Carlos continues to excell at Juan's restaurant. Even with the two newly hired girls, customers request to be served by him. His tips add up to $400 or more every night! He almost has enough saved up for a trailer, and he has just enough saved for a ring...

Carmen's pregnancy is progressing. She seems to big to just be carrying one baby. She and Juan plan to visit a doctor in Pleasantview in a few days because the hospital in Vanity Ravine isn't quite finished yet, and Pleasntview isn't too terribly far.

Carlos proposes to Kenya, and she accepts and acts very happy about it, but Carlos can tell that she isn't entirely happy. She had said a few months earlier that she had no plans on getting married anytime soon, but Carlos had discarded her words because she hadn't loved him yet. Now he wonders is Kenya is ready for this kind of commitment...only time will tell.

Carmen is carrying twins again! This makes Juan incredibly nervous, because although they have plenty of money from the restaurant so far, hes afraid that they won't have enough money or space for 4 kids at the same time. Catty and Dani are estatic beause now there will be 2 new babies to play with! Carmen is happy, but at the same time very tired. She nows this will only worsen when the twins are born though.

Carlos has decided to move out. He needs to tell his brother though before he does.
"Juan, I proposed to Kenya the other night, and she said yes."
" Thats wonderful Carlos! I'm very happy for you."
"Thanks Carmen. Anyway, Juan I have to move out. You need the room for the twins anyway, although I imagine you'll be moving soon anyway with all the money you've been making. I do have one more favor to ask you though."
"Dios mio...."
"I'm asking if I can keep my job Juan."
"Oh, of course!" So, Juan moves out, and just in time too!

Carmen gives birth to twin boys this time. Welcome babies Francisco and Pablo to the world!

So my pics got better! Well, I think they're better. And I admit I'm kind of lame for switching to the better pics half way through the post, but oh well. This family is a bit boring, I'm hoping that will change.

McGraw round 1-Pleasant People

Before you go OMG REALLY SUCKY PICS- The first few updates will have pics that suck hardcore, so sorry. But I've found a better way to take pics thanks to the all knowing mind of my mother so eventually my pics will be decent! So don't ditch me just yet!

The farmhouse Lucy McGraw, her son Marcus and his wife Anne, and her grandchildren 5 year old Aaron and 2 year old Ariel now live has been in the family of Lucy's late husband for 3 generations. When 'Mayor" Mary Lombardi offered Lucy a deed to a family business and a spot on the town council if she would willingly give up the land around the house, Lucy decided she couldn't pass up the opportunity that could give her family a better life.

Lucy often spends time with her granddaughter Ariel. She wants to teach Ariel about all kinds of things. Lucy hopes that Ariel will strive to know about everything, just like Lucy and her son Marcus. But who knows what the future holds?

Lucy knows that she should give up on Aaron being all about knowledge and wisdom. Its not that he isn't a smart boy, because he is very bright, its just that he has other priorities.

Right now his priorities seem to include befriending all of the girls his age in Purity Creek...

As mentioned earlier, Lucy loves knowledge. She loves to spend her time reading books, and since Marcus and Anne run the family farm, she has lots and lots of time to read. But she can't forget about the new responsibilities she has now.

Ah, yes. new responsibilities. Such as the grocery store Lucy and Marcus opened up. McGraw Produce. The store is in her name, but she lets Marcus run it for the most part. He acts as a salesmen and restocks the store while she mans the cash register. That blasted cash register, how Lucy hates it! Its like the thing is possessed, crashing into her plump belly every time she opens it. Manning the cash register with all its buttons and beeping noises was the only thing Lucy has trouble learning how to do. So, naturally, she really despises that darn cash register!

Lucy's daughter-in-law Anne doesn't usually run the store with Marcus and Lucy. She stays home and fishes. Lucy thinks she is a pretty good fisherwoman, and that probably wasn't expected from someone as beautiful as she is, but what did Lucy know? She'd never seen anyone as special as Anne until Marcus returned from college with her. Anne does have some flaws though. She liked to wander around the family property in just her undies! That was too much Anne for Lucy to handle, but for the most part she loves Anne just like she would her own daughter.

Well, Lucy knew it wouldn't be long before another grandchild was added to her name. Anne discovered she was pregnant a few days before Ariel's 5th birthday. Marcus was excited and so were the kids, and Lucy was rather indifferent about it. She loved her family very much, but there was a point when a knowledge aspirer ,like herself, was surrounded by too many children. Though she thought this now, Lucy knew she'd adore the child once it was born.

Ariel grew into a stunning little girl. Shes a carbon copy of her mother. Marcus was not exactly pleased when he realized this though. He knew the boys would be all over her when she reached teendom. Lucy noticed that Ariel liked making friends. She still didn't mind reading with her grandmother or learning either. Lucy is not sure on how she will turn out, but she knows that Ariel will grow into a wonderful young lady.

Anyway, Lucy thinks her life is going pretty well for the most part. She still hates that retched cash register, but she is getting better at learning how to use it. She'd rather be reading than dealing with the stupidity of the odd customers she gets, like this police officer who wanted to show off his juggling abilities to his friend. But Lucy can deal with it, because she knows it will all be worth it someday. Marcus would make this store great! For now though, things were just pleasant.

** I really like this family. Ariel is my favorite so far, but Lucy isn't far behind her! I have more pics for them, but I knew this post be a long one and I didn't want to bore any of you with my lame long post.

Welcome to Purity Creek..

Hello! I'm Kayla, and I'm really really really new at this, so bear with me please. Anyway, let me introduce you to Purity Creek (no pics yet, but upcoming posts will have some I promise!)

I started my prosperity with eight families, each owning a store, and each having a motive to move to PC.

McGraw family- 1 elder, 2 adults, 1 child.
McGRAW PRODUCE( grocery store)

Hernandez family- 3 adults, 2 children
LA COMIDA BUENA(restaurant)

Bumbai family- 1 elder, 2 adults
BUMBAI BOOKS(bookstore)

Willis family- 3 adults
SLICE OF HEAVEN BAKERY(bakery)

Cho family- 2 elders, 2 adults
CHO'S TAILOR SHOP(clothing store)

Appleberry family-1 elder, 2 adults,1 teen, 2 children
TREASURED TOYS(toy store)

Martin family- 2 adults, 2 teens, 1 child
FABULOUS FLOWERS(flower and gift shop)

Lombardi family- 1 elder, 2 adults, 1 teen, 1 child, 1 toddler
LOMBARDI NATIONAL TRUST(bank)

So, these are the founding families. You'll meet them sooner or later.

As for how I'm going to play, I only have a few rules, and I'll probably only be strict on a few. I have all the rules, laws, and statements set up into 4 groups so far and these groups are, education; careers; money; businesses

Rules/laws/statements on EDUCATION:
-All schooling will be from Purity Creek Public Schooling, or Vanity Raving Private Schooling
*private schooling will have a sponsor
+sponsor is ALWAYS someone from the elder council
+sponsor is ALWAYS a knowledge sim
*parents with children in private schooling will send the sponsor $400 per child a week.
-Teens wishing to attend college must have an 8 point minimum in at least 3 skills AND have a want to go
Rules/laws/statements on CAREERS
-Only college educated sims may have the following careers
*Medical *Intelligence
*Science *Business
*Education *Paranormal
*Journalism
*Politics
*Architecture
-Only half of the population will have the opportunity to have a maxis job. The others must own a business; work in someone else's business; nanny, garden, or maid for another family; farm; date for gifts; be a stay at home spouse; write novels or do artwork
Rules/laws/statements on MONEY
-All families pay 10% of the money they have in their bank account to the bank.
-The bank must pay 3% interest to everyone once every season.
-Families with live0in help MUST pay the person 10% of whatever the family has in their bank account when the help moves out.
-Families must give starter money to their adult children NOT living at home. This is the only time parents are required to give money to their children.
Rules/laws/statements on BUSINESSES
-One family can own up to 5 businesses
-Each business may have 6 employees counting the manager

So, thats what I have for now. I have one family played through, and as soon as I figure out my picture problem I'll work on updating!
